Utu Youth

Our youth group runs on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, if for any reason the group isn't on it will be posted on our social media pages. This group is for 13-17 year olds to have a genuine safe space to be their authentic selves. A place to make new friends within the community as well as a safe environment if they are questioning or have any questions which our staff could help with.

All of our sessions also have at least two youth support workers, who are on hand to talk to if a young person is in need of it and our team has a wealth of experience and knowledge which equips them to listen, support and signpost in the right direction where needed.

We don't publish the location of our group to ensure that it stays a safe location to all of our young people, but if you are interested in attending -or know somebody who would be interested- we will happily tell you more information after you get in contact with us through email at info@undertheumbrella.org.uk

So what do we do at UTu?

Under The Umbrella offers a safe place to just be you. We invite you to simply sit in peace in the space if you prefer, but we do try to offer a range of different activities to keep things interesting too! These include:

  • Crafts- like tie dye, crochet, and anything that is suggested that we can do!

  • Make up

  • Gardening and planting

  • Watching films or shows

  • Playing pool and Table football

  • Making music

  • Taking part in community activities

  • Eating donuts

  • Days Out

  • Proms

And that's just the beginning! We want to hear suggestions from our young people too.
